I find Tracey Emin to be fascinating. To look at her work you may think, "5 minute scribbles, I could do that". Once you open the gateway to the next level, perhaps you too will be intrigued?

The raw emotions demonstrated in her loosely applied line work conveys real feelings of what women feel; Emin is just not ashamed to show it. The feelings of being in love, losing or lost love, ugliness and worthlessness.

For so long woman have been importance for the 'male gaze', at times there is pressure to be this beautiful woman holding the world at her fingertips with every little detail in life held together so purely and effortlessly. Truth is, we cannot all be superwoman and Emins work may bring out a shock factor but it's human and real.

Oh gee, she has bought out a feminist in me...
